Fractal a curve or geometrical figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole.

The mystery behind abstract images relies on the illusion of a suggested space. This space is not tangible and is simply formed by the visual senses. Within the project Fractal I’ve achieved this illusion by physically manipulating found negatives with chemicals to produce bizarre and artificial landscapes. To remove the personal the connection of the known and suggest familiarity.

By exploiting photography with the use of physical manipulation it alters what was once perceived.
